Nebraska Music EducatorPublished three times a year, the Nebraska Music Educator is the official journal of NMEA and is distributed in July, October, and February of each school year. Nebraska Music Educator contains articles of interest to music educators, the official business of the association, and other news of interest to members. Each board member has an article in the magazine, and each issue highlights a specific theme. The July issue provides essential back-to-school information, while the October issue offers a preview of the annual All-State Conference/In-Service Clinic. In February, we celebrate exceptional teaching throughout the state and focus on advocacy efforts. Nebraska Music Educator is circulated to over 1,100 NMEA active, retired, and collegiate members as well as current advertisers, subscribers, and other state and regional officers throughout the United States. People interested in advertising can review our advertising packages on our Advertising Opportunities page. In January, the NMEA Board of Directors voted to transition the July and February issues of The Nebraska Music Educator to a digital magazine format. This decision was based on budgetary considerations and feedback from membership surveys. The October issue will remain in print so that it can continue to serve as the physical program book for the annual Conference/In-Service Clinic. Digital magazine issues will begin in 2025.
